MEOW, IT’S BEBO THE CATWOMAN! (BT,19Oct08,Mum,P1)
Kareena Kapoor takes hint from Beyonce for item number in new film

Kareena Kapoor’s giving the Pussycat Dolls some catty competition with her item number Meow in Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal Returns. For this, the actress got into a catsuit inspired by Beyonce because Kareena is a die-hard fan of the American singer.

“I love Beyonce and the way she is. I have tried a different hairstyle and make-up, too,” revealed the sexy Kareena. “It’s a funky track and the video looks very glamourous.” But choreographer Bosco feels Kareena purrs better than Beyonce. “Bebo looks hotter than Beyonce,” said Bosco about the song that’s been specially included in the film.

There are others who can’t stop raving about the actress’ look in this number. Like boyfriend Saif Ali Khan. The Chhote Nawab landed on the sets unannounced to see Kareena perform the song. “He liked it so much that he wished he was part of the number too,” said a friend of the actress.

Kareena plays Ajay Devgan’s loudmouth wife in the film and to get into the skin of the character, she reportedly took inspiration from Ekta Kapoor’s saas-bahu shows on television.

Attraction starts a relationship (TOI,19Oct08,Mum,P69)

A man has more stamina, while a woman is emotionally stronger, says Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

* ARE MEN AND WOMEN DIFFERENT?

I was brought up sans any gender perspectives; I have an elder brother and we grew up with a similar approach towards life. Even in a relationship, there has to be mutual respect and understanding. But yes, there are certain innate differences — a man has more stamina. While a woman is physically weaker, she is emotionally stronger than a man in the same age group.

* DO YOU FOLLOW ANY RULES IN YOUR RELATIONSHIP?

I don’t believe in following any rulebook or quick self-help books in life or in relationships. There is no point in going by preconceived notions, for instance, of what is romantic and what is not. You should just be yourself. Be your own best-friend. Learn to be brutally frank with yourself, only then can you give the same to your partner.

* HOW IMPORTANT ARE LOOKS IN THE GAME OF LOVE?

Attraction is what starts a relationship… it can be looks or one’s personality. However, a relationship needs compatibility to stand the test of time. Ultimately, it’s the quality of the relationship you share which is most important. The relationship itself is bigger than everything else.

* WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF FIVE YEARS FROM NOW?

I didn’t know I’d be here five years ago! I live my life from moment to moment — the media has been witness to that — I have no idea where I’ll be next!

Preity won’t invite Shiney! (BT,19Oct08,Mum,P26)

Though Preity Zinta gets along with most of her co-stars, her hero in Har Pal, Shiney Ahuja doesn’t seem to be on her friends list.

When we got in touch with Preity and asked about the reported spat with Shiney, she explained, “Shiney and I are not the best of friends! He’s not a Shah Rukh, Salman, Hrithik or Abhishek for me. I’ve worked with these guys in so many films. We share a great rapport. Well, I don’t share that relationship with Shiney. That’s all there is to it, really! He won’t be seen at a party thrown by me!” So one thing’s for sure, Shiney won’t be on Zinta’s guest list!
